I got published by THE TUSK! Holiday Fat Shamed? FAT SHAME BACK!

1934367_10153120381181086_5678847578119267958_nHey everyone, one of my favorite favorite literary journals EVER The Tusk published my new piece How To Survive The Holidays with Parents Who Won’t Stop Fat Shaming You, I’M SO EXCITED! What a great way to start 2016. I wrote this while drinking eggnog and eating xmas cookies and thinking about all the awful crap fat people go through during the holidays. Side note, my parents are wonderful wonderful people who are growing and learning and very very loving and supportive of me as a living person, but yeah, I’ve had to work hard to change their approach then speaking to me about my body. They’ve actually done really well, and work hard to understand that my body is mine and mine alone to worry about, and that respecting that will help me make better life choices, whenever I goddamn feel like it. But yeah, if you’re fat, fabulous, and loving life like me, you’ve probably had some of these experiences happen to you, there’s the best part: YOU DON’T GOTTA DEAL WITH THAT SHIT. If they won’t stop, fat shame back, turn the tables, jiggle their bellies, see how they feel. Rise above, you are the better person. Eat some Cake. Also, remember, experiences like these, they don’d define you, we’ve all been brain washed to hate fat people, we can unbrain wash everyone! You can get past it, after you do, there’s always waffles. Love yourself, and don’t be too hard on your family, it comes from a good place, and if they won’t change, you can always just put your head phones on, walk away, meet your friends at a bar and share some carneasada fries. HAPPY FAT NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Please read and share with your friends!
